Rubrics: Good for Students, Good For Teachers

3 Credits
Fully engage your students in their learning by way of creating a rubrics-based classroom environment in all of your classes! Using rubrics to evaluate and grade assignments is the best way to provide quick and thorough feedback to your students enabling them to develop their learning-objective-specific skills. Creating your rubrics the correct way front-loads student understanding of exactly what is expected from them on every assignment and how their work will be evaluated based on very specific quality descriptors for each scoring criterion that include Student Learning Outcomes (SLO's) and other curriculum-based objectives. Your students will be much more motivated in their learning as they develop multiple methods to demonstrate that learning and you will learn huge time-saving techniques in grading while also providing more concise feedback to your students for their growth in learning.
