I highly recommend this course if you are looking to incorporate short stories from around the world! I found several stories that I will be adding to my curriculum. I also enjoyed the flexibility of choosing our own stories, choosing how we analyze the stories, and creating lessons that fit into our own curriculum. Great class!

This is a well-designed course with exposure to many wonderful stories from around the world. I was immediately able to add some new works to our department's short story unit after taking this course.

I love having the opportunity to read so many short stories, talk about them, plan lessons, and earn graduate credits for it!

I found this to be a hard course. Some of the stories were difficult to understand or were hard to get involved with in the beginning. There was only one story that I read that I did not use in my reflections, which I then had to find a different story to use. That story was "Wine." It just didn't make sense to me.

This is a wonderful course. The professor was very knowledgeable and helpful. She clearly communicated the course objectives and expectations. I found this class instrumental in designing a Short Stories World Literature Unit for this upcoming year. I look forward to taking another class soon.

This was an enjoyable course. I was exposed to a variety of authors with which I was unfamiliar and had to think deeply about what makes them enduring and meaningful. The lesson plans are a great way to think about teaching these courses in concrete ways with objectives and student learning outcomes.
